At the heart of the Valley of the Kings, a stone’s throw from the Loire à Vélo cycle path, and on the wine route, the team at Les Acacias is there to help you enjoy a peaceful but memorable holiday at any time of year.

You can soak in the nature sitting in the shade of an acacia, catch some rays lounging on our greenery, or stroll along the banks of the Loire. We have mobile homes with all mod cons, sunny or shaded pitches, and of course WiFi reception all over the campsite!

In the surrounding area you can admire the finest chateaus of the Loire Valley (Chinon, Clos Lucé, Langeais, Loches, Amboise with its market, Azay-le-Rideau, Chenonceau, Chaumont and Villandry gardens, Sleeping Beauty’s castle in Ussé... to name but a few). You can explore them along a variety of itineraries.

But La Touraine is also home to vineyards (Vouvray, Montlouis, Azay le Rideau, Chinon, Bourgueil, etc.), rivers (Cher, Indre, Vienne, etc.), and little villages with tuffeau stone houses (Crissay sur Manse, Candes Saint Martin, etc.), the troglodyte caves and, of course, the Loire river: the wildest and longest of all French rivers.

Our campsite is the ideal base for enjoying a beautiful ride along the Loire à Vélo cycle path.

Overlooking Ile de la Métaierie island (itself a registered UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Loire and the Loire à Vélo cycle path, you can explore Tours with its cathedral, open-air bars, markets, architecture, and the famous Place Plumereau...

Cycling

Why not try a bike ride along the banks of the Loire? We have a range of bikes of all sizes available to hire, along with baby seats and little trailers for the kids.

The whole family can enjoy the “Loire à Vélo”, a cycle path specially designed to offer the best, and safest, way to enjoy La Touraine’s breath-taking landscapes!

At the heart of La Touraine and nestling in the Valley of the Kings, Les Acacias Campsite is the perfect location for exploring the area with its outstanding cultural heritage and gastronomy.
